ProMediaGear TR424L Pro-Stix Overview
Built for photographers who need serious load capacity without the weight of a bulkier setup, the TR424L Pro-Stix supports up to 125 lbs while weighing just 6.4 lbs. Carbon fiber legs with a maximum diameter of 42mm keep the tripod rigid under heavy telephoto lenses and video rigs, while the red aluminum-alloy head uses a durable truss design to shave off unnecessary weight without sacrificing stability.
The tripod's four-section legs use quarter-turn twist locks for fast deployment in the field, and each leg locks independently at 22.5°, 55°, or 89° for uneven terrain or low-angle shooting. Folded length comes in at 26.3", and the tripod extends from a minimum height of 6.7" up to a full 77" — enough range for ground-level macro work or eye-level shooting without a center column.
Rubber feet provide reliable traction on hard surfaces, and each foot conceals a stow-away metal spike for added grip on soft or uneven ground. A built-in bubble level helps you check for a level horizon before you start shooting.
The included top plate connects to any tripod head, camera, lens, or optic compatible with a 3/8"-16 mount, and clamps securely onto the tripod head with a cam lock and push-button release to prevent accidental slippage. For photographers running a video setup, the head also accepts the separately-available ProMediaGear TRBU75 75mm Tripod Leveling Base and TRB75 75mm Tripod Bowl Insert, letting you use a compatible video head without needing to adjust the tripod legs to level out.
Eight 1/4"-20 accessory threads are built into the head and legs — one beneath the top plate, four along the sides of the head, and two per leg near the hinge — each paired with anti-twist pin slots for securely mounting ProMediaGear accessories or any gear with a standard 1/4"-20 mount.
