ProMediaGear TR424 Pro-Stix Overview
Built for photographers who need serious stability without excess bulk, the TR424 supports up to 125 lbs while weighing just 5.9 lb. Ten-layer crossed-weave carbon fiber legs keep the tripod rigid under the weight of small mirrorless setups all the way up to large format cameras, while the CNC machined aluminum truss apex minimizes weight without sacrificing strength.
Each 42mm leg features three variable independent angles, letting the tripod stabilize confidently on rocky or uneven terrain. That same variable-angle design also allows the tripod to reach a minimum height of just 6", making it a solid choice for ground-level or macro work. At full extension, the TR424 reaches a maximum height of 58", and the four-section legs collapse down to 21.25" with a quarter turn of the twist locks, for easy transport between shoots.
Inside the truss apex sits a 75mm interchangeable top plate, held securely in place by a spring-loaded lock and released with the push of a safety button. For video shooters, an optional 75mm leveling half ball is available, accepting fluid, ball, or gimbal-type heads via a 3/8"-16 male thread — a separate bowl insert is required to adapt the leveling half ball to the apex.
Around the apex and near the top of each leg, multiple 1/4"-20 mounting slots with anti-twist pins let you attach ProMediaGear accessories directly to the sides of the tripod, keeping your setup organized and within reach.
